AI 65+ is a mobile AI chatbot designed specifically for seniors — offering instant answers through a clean, easy-to-use interface with large text and clear visuals. I led the product’s design from the ground up, including the brand identity, design system, and full mobile experience across iOS and Android. The result is an app that removes complexity and makes AI feel friendly, accessible, and empowering for older users.

The Challenge
Designing for seniors required a complete rethink of traditional chatbot UX. The experience had to feel immediate, non-technical, and comforting not like any other complicated tool or app.
Key challenges included:
Ensuring the interface was readable, approachable, and visually calm
Designing for users with limited mobile and tech experience
Reducing friction in text input, navigation, and interaction feedback
Creating a tone of voice for AI responses that felt friendly, helpful, and non-intimidating
Supporting accessibility across both iOS and Android with consistent UI patterns









My Role & Responsibilities
Branding & Visual Identity
Designed the logo, color system, and brand tone
Created a calm, confident visual identity that avoids tech-heavy cues
Selected typefaces and iconography optimized for legibility and warmth
UX & UI Design
Designed all app flows: onboarding, chat screen, help prompts, accessibility settings
Prioritized large, readable text, simple buttons, and clear layouts
Included high-contrast modes and reduced complexity at every touchpoint
Created fallback paths and support screens for confused or uncertain users
Design System
Built a reusable component library optimized for seniors' needs
Designed with flexible text scaling, large hit targets, and motion sensitivity in mind
Delivered full system documentation to support ongoing development

Simple tap-to-ask onboarding that guides first-time users
Quick access to past answers and helpful suggestions
