NewsGPT.ai is an AI-powered platform delivering 24/7 news coverage across global topics with a focus on impartiality and speed. I was brought in to improve the overall look and feel of the product, enhance the user experience, and explore how the experience could translate into a mobile app. My work focused on refining the interface, improving readability, and introducing structure to a high-volume AI content stream.
Year :
Q4 2023 to Q1 2024
Industry :
Web
Client :
Q4 2023 to Q1 2024
Project Duration :
Figma, UX audit frameworks, Wordpress, React Native (for mobile exploration)

The Challenge
NewsGPT.ai delivers a continuous, high-volume stream of AI-generated news. While the platform was rich in content, the interface lacked visual clarity, especially on mobile. The key goals were to:
Create visual structure across dense, fast-moving content
Improve the hierarchy and layout for readability and scannability
Enhance the user journey from feed browsing to topic exploration
Explore and conceptualize a mobile experience for on-the-go users

My Role & Responsibilities
UI/UX Enhancement
Redesigned content cards and feed layouts to create clear hierarchy and structure
Introduced better use of spacing, typography, and imagery for improved legibility
Suggested new navigation patterns for easier access to key categories
Mobile Concept Design
Designed mobile-first wireframes to adapt the core NewsGPT experience
Focused on glanceable updates, easy category switching, and simplified interaction
Proposed UI patterns optimized for smaller screens and touch navigation
Prototyping & Delivery
Delivered annotated wireframes and high-fidelity concepts in Figma
Presented UX audit insights and practical design improvements to guide the team’s roadmap
Explored adaptive layout solutions to support a future responsive platform

Key Features Designed
Modular content card system with support for varying article lengths and media types
Improved topic navigation and filter structure for easier content discovery
Responsive layout improvements for seamless adaptation across screen sizes
Scroll-optimized reading experience for long-form and breaking news content
Mobile app concept with quick-access tabs, simplified category flows, and personalized feed support

Key Outcomes
Improved readability and engagement through a cleaner content presentation
Introduced UI enhancements that brought clarity to AI-generated content without overwhelming the user
Provided the team with actionable UX recommendations and a visual direction for future iterations
Created a working concept for a mobile version of the product
